Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico S.A.B De C.V. (GAP), a Mexican company with 50-year concessions to operate, maintain and develop twelve international airports in the Pacific and Central regions of Mexico, has emerged the provisional Preferred Bidder for the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) Public Private Partnership. The decision follows the evaluation process and subsequent approval by Cabinet on September 3, 2018 after public opening of three bid submissions received at the offices of the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) on July 20, 2018. Norman Manley International Airport Public-Private Partnership Invitation for Prequalification – EXTENDED MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT AND MINING The Government of Jamaica (the “GOJ”), through the Ministry of Transport and Mining is seeking a private sector operator with proven experience in the airport sector to operate, finance, develop and maintain the Norman Manley International Airport (“NMIA”) under a long term concession agreement (the “Project”). International Finance Corporation (“IFC”), a member of the World Bank Group, has been appointed by the GOJ as lead advisor on the structuring and implementation of the Project.
